Streaming video

If the World Wide Web had only websites that would be really dull. Of course, it would still be a great source of information for anyone willing to get it, but viewing hundreds and hundreds of websites would be like visiting a very large library, the only difference being the absence of the necessity of your going anywhere. In a way we're very lucky to have internet as it is now – with the hundreds of features, technologies and possibilities – that's really a major source of entertainment (as well as income, education etc) for millions of people (it has been now proven scientifically that a person can develop a psychological dependence by being in the internet all the time). Among the numerous internet services and technologies streaming video is probably one of the most popular features for thousands of people as it allows them to watch their favorite TV shows or movies online, without having to turn on the TV set. Streaming video is basically a technology of transmitting video signals that allows you to watch TV programs during the process of their simultaneous downloading onto your computer without having to download the whole video file at once. Some people even throw away their television sets as their computers can replace them – in fact, hundreds of websites today offer their visitors free TV channels to watch, so people no longer need to pay to the television service providers. The internet fee is the only fee that has to be paid. Despite the advantages streaming video is not an option for those who prefer quality video signal as the quality of the signal is usually low.
